When will the new $1.6 billion Jordan Bridge project be complete?
The first phase of the $1,637 million Jordan Bridge replacement project is scheduled to be complete in 2019, according to the project’s first contractor, the City of Jordan.
The first bridge span will be installed on the Jordan River near Jericho, and the project will be finished in 2028.
The bridge will be constructed on a two-lane configuration that will be connected to the existing U.S. Route 50.
The first phase will cost $2.3 billion, with the remainder to come from private funding sources.
The project has been in the works since 2013, and is expected to be completed by 2023.
The completion date has not been set.
A second phase of work is planned for 2019, but it has not yet been identified.
