The Figg Bridge construction project is getting under way, but it may take a little while
A construction team working on a $200 million bridge in Washington state has completed construction on its first phase of the bridge, according to a report from the Seattle Times.
The Washington State Department of Transportation has said the Figg bridge is being built under the authority of the state’s bridge authority, which has been under heavy criticism for its inability to fulfill the $1.6 billion bridge project.
The construction work started this week on a section of the Figgy Bridge that is expected to open in 2019.
Construction on the bridge is expected take up to six years to complete, the Times reported.
