When will construction begin on Johnstown Bridge?
The construction of the Johnstown River Bridge is expected to begin in 2021.
The project is expected cost around $6 billion, but the first of its kind bridge will cost between $1.5 billion and $2 billion, according to a joint statement released by the Department of Transportation and the State of New Jersey.
The bridge will span the river in a span of about 50 feet and will be located on the western end of the bridge.
The State of NJ is expected receive $1 billion from the bridge project for infrastructure improvements and $3 billion for bridge rehabilitation and construction, according the statement.
The bridge will be completed by 2023, and it will be named the Johnsburg Bridge, after a town on the river where the bridge was built.
Construction on the bridge is expected at the end of 2019.
It is expected that the bridge will reopen to traffic by 2021.
